The Tallarook Hotel prides itself on friendly country-style hospitality complimented by its quality pub classics menu.

The hotel is rich in history and can date its origins back to the late 1800s, and is conveniently located across the road from the train station. Tallarook is the starting point of the Great Victorian Rail Trail. This well-renowned walking, cycling and horse-riding trail extends for 134 kilometres through the picturesque Victorian countryside. The Tallarook Ranges are also close by and are filled with many accessible walking tracks that wind around stunning flora and fauna.

The hotel boasts a sizeable beer garden with some distinctive seating and a fantastic stage that has played host to some incredible talents. Pets are allowed and encouraged in the outdoor area, a particularly popular option on the first Sunday of the month when the Farmers Market is held in the recently rebuilt Mechanics Institute. The walls are adorned with works of Indigenous art.
